Dead Fox

If nature gets in our way, run it down. Found on the boundary of the nature reserve, early on a Sunday morning; on my return in the afternoon its eyes had been pecked out, and by Monday it had been completely removed (presumably by the council).

Tyre in the Wood

An object out of place within the landscape. The low prospective is to engage the viewer with the destruction on an intimate level, bringing in a juxtaposition between the horse and the tyre.

The Concrete Tree

At first glance you might miss the concrete post, but in the end the trees have grown taller in a reversal of rolls.

It seems to be a visual mass, deluding the viewer until they see the aberration within it.

Horse and Car

With juxtaposition between the car and the horse, the horse being the traditional form of transportation and the car representing the modern (burnt out and wrecked)

The Abandoned Boot

Detached from the car and left displaced to rust into dust. The hole in the center of the boot is symbolizing an ever open eye watching over the "out of focus" landscape.

The Executed Ram

The nature reserve is littered with the carcass of dead goats. This one, the cause of death - it was shot!

Knowing that the nature reserve used to be a military base during World War II it brings a haunting reality to the whole project.

Found within sight of a dead goat. I struggled to take this image as the range of feelings that swept through me.

Ice Through Oil

The water seeps through the oil, underneath an abandoned car, it freezes, and lifts the oil off the ground causing a micro crystal cavern.
